Football is back!

With fall just around the corner, our crews are hitting the gridiron for another action-packed football season. Several local teams have signed up for professional game films by Automatic Sports. With games available on tape, DVD, or straight to a file-based format, they head into the fall with the ability to watch their games in a format that gives them an edge over the competition. On top of that, they know that their footage will be shot to precise and professional standards. Once the season is over, the players will benefit from our services as they tackle the college recruiting process. With attention-grabbing highlight packages and online player profile pages, the student-athletes will have what it takes to turn a coaches head and get a shot at the college of their dreams. AND the best part? We still have crews available to cover your team if you are not already on the bandwagon! The crew at Automatic Sports wishes all a safe and successful fall athletic season.

On June 21st, Automatic Sports began video services for the Headfirst College Advisory Team in Washington, D.C. Baseball players were put through a series of drills, receiving coaching tips from an experienced coach in a controlled setting, and getting the tools to take their game to the next level. Automatic taped the drills, edited the footage, and provided players and parents with DVDs and customized web pages containing their highlight reels and statistics. We are extremely excited about this partnership and to be working with an incredible group of coaches and mentors. Headfirst has long been the areas leading baseball organization for athletes of all ages. We started in New Jersey, continued in Owings Mills, and plan to head all over the mid-Atlantic region from PA to VA this summer. We filmed at Rutgers for the MVP tournament for teams from Canada to Texas! The Automatic team has also been at or plans to be at The Baltimore Summer Kickoff (official video partner), Ultimate Performance, Top Gun Shootout, Tri-State lacrosse, Brine Shootout I and II, Champ Camp, The NCSL, UVA Team Camp, and more. If you’d like us to be somewhere else, please let us know and we will make it happen! Don’t forget to let us know about games and highlights ahead of time so we can put you at the front of the line!

Automatic Sports has started production on a short film celebrating the 170+ year history of the Episcopal High School athletic program. From the first football game vs. arch-rival Woodberry Forest to current conference champs, the AS team is bringing the past and present to life in stunning high definition. The film will combine current EHS athletes, historic photographs, interviews with legendary athletes from all sports, and amazing archival film clips. Automatic is pleased to be working with Director of Photography Joe Tyler who will bring years of experience and a keen eye to the production. Check our 'samples' page in the coming months for the finished product.

Our good friends at Madlax – the areas leading lacrosse specialty store and more – invited us to the 2009 Capital Classic in Alexandria where the best boys lacrosse talent in the area was on display. Automatic charged headfirst into the endeavor, setting up a camera on every field for the entire cold November day. The ’09 Classic represents the first time we have taken an entire tournament and captured every goal, hit, and victory for an entire event.
